Concerned Citizens of Hershey and Derry Township

Mission Statement

We are a group of Derry Township residents who are concerned about the overall quality of life in our community. The Derry Township web site, PreserveHershey.org, started with the goal of preservation of the quality of life for our citizens here in Hershey. Together, we are dedicated to:

(1) Protecting the integrity of the Township's Comprehensive Plan to support the community in meeting the needs of adults, children and families;
(2) Opposing efforts to disrupt the quality of life; and
(3) Finally, supporting citizen action to let our wishes be known to the powers that be.

We do not oppose change, but we do believe that the decisions made by government, business, and industry must benefit the people of this Township. After all, the County Commissioners and major business interests depend on the will, work, and actions of the community.
